Two people were slashed inside a McDonald's restaurant in midtown Wednesday evening when a fight broke out and an employee tried to intervene, police say.
It's not clear what sparked the argument between two customers at the fast-food eatery at 58th Street and 3rd Avenue at about 7:45 p.m., but when it escalated, an employee tried to step in, police said.
One of the customers slashed the employee in the leg and the other customer in the torso and arm. then ran away, police said.
Neither victim was seriously hurt.
No arrest has been made. Investigators were on the scene Wednesday night. They're expected to look at surveillance video.
