Bound, Stabbed Man Found Dead in Queens Basement: Police

Police say the man was found tied up, beaten and stabbed in the basement of the Queens home

The bound body of a man apparently beaten and stabbed to death was discovered in the basement of a Queens home Tuesday morning, police say. 

Officers responded to a 911 call inside 120-46 131st St. in South Ozone Park just before 5 a.m., according to police. They found the man inside the basement of the home with trauma to the head and several stab wounds to the body.

The man, who is in his 30s, has not been identified. It's not clear if he lived at the home.

A witness told police a heavyset man wearing a black jacket and dark-colored hat walked down the driveway of the home before officers arrived.
