Man Leaves Car Unlocked During Quick Stop at Bronx Bodega, Bag Containing $20K Cash Stolen: NYPD

A man who left his car unlocked while he made a quick stop at a Bronx bodega came back to find a bag he had left in the car containing $20,000 had been stolen, police said.

The 40-year-old man left his Ford Explorer unlocked at the corner of Webster Avenue and 178th Street in Mt. Hope around 5 p.m. on July 24, the NYPD said.

He stepped into the bodega for a moment, and when he got back, the bag of cash was gone, police said.
