1. MTA Unveils Proposed Alternative Service Plan for L Train

The MTA has announced a proposed Alternate Service Plan for the L subway line during its much-anticipated and talked-about repair work.

According to the proposed plan announced Wednesday, certain schedules and services will face changes.

The L train was supposed to shut down completely for 15-months for Hurricane Sandy-related repairs, but, last month, Gov. Cuomo announced a new L train subway tunnel design that will eliminate a full shutdown.

2. It Might Get Cheaper to Rent Apartments in NYC -- by Law

Two NYC Council members will introduce a package of bills that aim to make renting apartments in one of the world's most expensive real estate markets more affordable, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The bills by Councilman Keith Powers and Councilwoman Carlina Rivera, both democrats, look to put a cap on brokers' fees and security deposits to one month’s rent each on apartments, as well as set standards on repayment of these fees for renters, the report says.

Security deposits often are set at one month’s rent, and there already is a one-month limit on rent-stabilized apartments, WSJ says.

3. Pasquale Jones Teams Up With Resy for Free Pizzas on Valentine's Day

It's Valentine's Day and one of New York City's best pizzeria's is spreading the love with free pies. 

Pasquale Jones is teaming up with Resy to give out 500 pizzas Thursday from 12-4 p.m.

They will all be a la vodka pies, which is an off-menu item you'll only be able to get Thursday.
