Parkgoer Punched in Face on NYC's High Line: Police, Advocates

A parkgoer was punched in the face after asking a group of teens if they needed help on the High Line on Monday afternoon, park advocates and police said.

The group of teens were on the elevated park above West 28th Street when the man approached and asked if they needed help, according to a posting on New York City Park Advocates' blog

One of the teens then turned to the 40-year-old and slugged him in the face, according to the NYPD and advocates. It's not clear why the teen attacked.

The man was treated for a bloody nose and a cut on his hand, and advocates said the teens ran off.

Advocates said the NYPD responded to the scene. No arrests have been made.
