A New Jersey man who admitted selling heroin to another man who later died from an overdose has been sentenced to more than seven years in jail.
Twenty-six-year-old Kevin Croxton, of Lindenwold, pleaded guilty in August to reckless manslaughter and drug possession charges. He was sentenced to seven and a half years in jail on Friday.
The charges stem from the April 2014 death of a 29-year-old Laurel Springs man.
Prosecutors say investigators used cellphone records and other evidence to identify Croxton as a suspect in the death. They say he sold the other man heroin just a few hours before the man died.
He is required to serve at least 85 percent of his sentenced before he's eligible for parole.
