Fordham Student Groped by 2 Men in Alley Near Campus: NYPD

Police are searching for two suspects wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a Fordham University student in an alley near the campus.

The student told investigators that she left campus and was walking through an alley near the Dunkin Donuts on East Fordham Road at about 10 p.m. Saturday when she was accosted by two men who were loitering there.

One of the suspects grabbed her and held her arms behind her back while the other groped her, police said.

As the groper was unzipping his pants, a few individuals approached the rear parking lot of the donut shop and apparently alarmed the suspects, who then fled, police said.

The student wasn't injured and reported the incident to police after returning to her off-campus apartment.

Police canvassed the area and collected possible evidence, including surveillance video, investigators said.

Anyone with information about the assault is asked to contact the Bronx Special Victims Unit at 718-378-8921 or the Department of Public Safety at 718-817-2222.
