21 Alleged Driver's License Test Cheats Arrested in NY

Inspector General Catherine Leahy Scott says 21 people have been charged with cheating on their commercial driver's license tests.

Scott, along with Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, charged the group of people on Tuesday as part of a cheating ring first revealed in September.

Under the cheating scheme, test takers allegedly agreed to pay the ring leaders to secure the correct answers for the test.

The test takers would hand their blank test to an organizer, who would take the blank test to a person who knew the answers. Leahy Scott says the scheme was facilitated by bribing the security guard.

The individuals were arraigned in supreme court in Manhattan.
