A woman has been arrested on charges of driving drunk with children in her vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident on Long Island.
Megan Pieroni of Manhattan was taken into custody around 3 p.m. Tuesday in Seaford, Nassau County police say.
She was involved in two accidents on the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway before striking a guardrail and flipping her SUV, police say.
Her 5-year-old son and 10-month-old daughter were with her. One of the children suffered a minor injury.
Pieroni suffered an arm injury and was hospitalized for observation.
Information on her attorney was not immediately available.
