Couple Found Dead Near Unharmed Child in Possible Murder-Suicide: Authorities

A New Jersey couple was found stabbed to death Saturday in their home where their young child was found unharmed, said officials, who added they are investigating the deaths as a possible murder-suicide.

It's still not clear what spurred the killings or which spouse may have been responsible.

Michael Tabacchi, 27, and Iran "Denise" Pars Tabacchi, 41, were found in their home on High Street in Closter, Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said. Their young son was found unharmed at the residence and is now being cared for by relatives.

The couple both died from stab wounds, apparently caused by a knife at around 11 p.m. Friday, said Molinelli, who didn't provide further details.

A neighbor told NBC 4 News that Michael Tabacchi had sent a text message to his parents asking them to come to the house. Upon arrival, they immediately called for help, the neighbor said.
