A construction worker is fighting for his life after he was injured while on the job in Manhattan, police say.
The worker got trapped by an exterior elevator and a building around 9:30 Tuesday night near 11th Avenue and West 15th Street in Chelsea, according to cops.
The FDNY worked to rescue the worker after he got stuck, police said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he is in critical condition.
It wasn't immediately clear how the worker got trapped, but police, along with the buildings department, are investigating.
