A man was struck and injured in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday night in Paterson, New Jersey, police say.
The man, who is in his 20s and not a child as police initially reported, was struck at the intersection of Temple and North 4th streets at about 9 p.m., according to police.
He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he's listed in critical but stable condition.
Police were on the scene investigating. Officials say they are looking for a Mercedes, but did not give more information on the vehicle.
