Car Drives Into NJ Restaurant, Hurting 2 Employees Inside: Police

A car attempting to back out of a parking spot instead drove into a Chinese restaurant, striking two employees inside, police said Saturday.

One worker at Lo's Garden restaurant in Brick suffered a broken leg, the other suffered cuts and leg pain, police said.

The driver, Emil Media, 36, was trying to leave the parking lot of the strip mall on Route 88 in Brick late Friday when he apparently put his car into drive instead of reverse, Brick police said.

The employees, both age 24, were thrown into the kitchen area, police said.

Neither drugs, alcohol or cell phone use appear to be a factor, police said.
