Brooklyn Robber Choked, Knocked Over Woman, 71: NYPD

The woman was taken to the hospital but was later released

Police are looking for a robber who choked and knocked over a 71-year-old woman in Brooklyn Thursday.

The man attacked the woman from behind on Macon Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant about 2:30 p.m. After choking her, he grabbed her purse, tossed her to the ground and ran off. 

The purse contained the woman’s keys, credit card, insurance card, MetroCard and drivers license.

The woman hit her head on the ground when she was knocked over and was taken to Kings County Hospital. She was later released.
