Brooklyn Man Wanted in Deaths of 2 Women at NYC Hotels Arrested on Murder Charge

The 36-year-old Brooklyn man wanted in connection with the deaths of two women who were found dead in New York City hotels earlier this summer has been arrested, authorities said.

Joseph Danclair, 36, of Brooklyn, has been charged with murder in the Sept. 8 death of Antoinette Marin, who was found dead Sept. 8 in the Manhattan Broadway Hotel on West 38th Street.

Danclair has also been questioned in the death of 35-year-old Chrissy Bevelaqua, who was found July 22 in the Bushwick Hotel in Williamsburg. The New York Times reports police said it appeared she had been strangled.

Danclair does not face charges in connection with her death at this time but remains a suspect in the case, authorities said.

Police say Danclair is thought to have spent time with both women. Law enforcement sources say he is believed to be connected to two rapes not involving the two women who were found dead.

Danclair's last known address was on Parkside Avenue in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Law enforcement sources say he has an extensive criminal history.
