At Least 15 People Homeless After Jersey City Fire: Official

A fire raced through two Jersey City buildings on Saturday afternoon, leaving more than a dozen people homeless, officials said. 

The fire broke out just around 1 p.m. this afternoon on Summit Avenue and spread to an adjacent building.

At least 15 people were displaced by the fire, said city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione. No injuries were reported. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
