4 Arrested After NJ Police Seize $9.6 Million of Heroin

Four men were arrested and charged with possessing heroin after police seized around 265 pounds of heroin in New Jersey, state authorities said.

On Wednesday, Jesus Carrillo-Pineda, 30, Daniel Vasquez, 27, and Jesus Yanez-Martinez, 21, were found engaged in an alleged drug transaction at a parking lot in North Bergen, police said. The arrests resulted in the seizure of 88 pounds of heroin.

State police detectives continued their investigation and conducted a search at a home in Willingboro, where they arrested Omar Rodriguez, 37, and seized around 176 pounds of heroin, methamphetamine, fentanyl and prescription drugs, police said.

The total amount of heroin is said to be worth $9.6 million, according to police.

All are lodged in jail and are awaiting bail hearings, police said.
