2 City Workers Shot by Pellet Gun on Lower East Side: NYPD

Two city workers were shot by a pellet gun on the Lower East Side early Saturday, police said. 

A 47-year-old sanitation worker was hit in the head and a 45-year-od NYCHA worker was struck in the back, the NYPD said. 

Both suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention. 

The workers were shot at Pitt Street near Rivington Street, police said. 

No one has been arrested.
