Police say one man is dead and another has been arrested on a murder charge after a nearly five-hour standoff in upstate New York.
The Times Union of Albany reports that the standoff unfolded Friday night into Saturday morning at a two-family house in Watervliet, north of Albany.
Acting Police Chief Mark Spain says officers received a report of possible shots fired at 9:15 p.m. Friday.
He says that when police arrived on the scene a man had barricaded himself inside the house. Michael Fox was taken into custody at 3 a.m.Saturday and arrested on a murder charge.
It wasn't known if Fox had a lawyer who could comment on the charges. The body of Brandon Sherwin was discovered inside the house. Police say the men were neighbors.
