A Long Island boy who's battling Leukemia was too sick to attend his own blood and bone marrow drive.
But that didn't stop friends and family from gathering at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Glen Cove Tuesday, hoping to find a donor match for 15-year-old Alex Mele.
"I feel it's necessary that we all help each other in any way that we can," one woman told News 4 New York.
