What You're Doing Tonight: 2/3

Rocking out with Vampire Weekend (and others) for Tibet House, the return (did she ever leave?) of Jewel, and how much coffee can you drink in one night?

FUNRAISER: There's a party, and then there's a party thrown by Philip Glass. Mr. Atonal crowds Carnegie Hall with a motley crew of hand-picked music and mischief-makers from Patti Smith to Steve Earle to Vampire Weekend for his annual Tibet House Benefit Concert. 7:30PM.

SPARKLY: Snaggle-toofed cutie Jewel (remember her?) brings her blend of sweet-souled folk to Montclair's Wellmont Theatre. Tickets: $40-$65. Hearing Jewel yodel or tell stories about living in a van in Alaska: priceless. 7PM.

BUZZED: A seminar about your morning coffee's eco-footprint doesn't exactly sound like a party in a box, does it? What if we told you it was at the Museum of Natural History AND involved sampling delicious coffees from all over the world? We thought that might change things. "Global Kitchen: Climate Change and Coffee" starts at 6:30PM.
