Tonight: Pratt Hosts Chat on Sustainable Fashion

Sustainability is more than just a buzzword in fashion, and tonight Pratt will host a (free!) lecture with industry contenders to help analyze how it's working and where it's going with the market today.

Tonight's panel brings together Barney's Julie Gilhart, Mary Ping of Slow and Stead Wins the Race and Uluru's Carolyn Pliebe to discuss some of the topics simultaneously on exhibit at Pratt's "Ethics + Aesthetics = Sustainable Fashion," through February 20.

The panel will explain what constitutes sustainability in fashion and what's currently being done to advance practices throughout the industry and survey work by some of the exhibition's featured participants like Bodkin, Rogan, Alabama Chanin and more.

The lecture will be held tonight at 6 p.m. at the Pratt Institute Manhattan Campus, 144 West 14th Street (between 6th and 7th), Room 213.  Open to all!
