Proenza's New Patent PS1 Gets Its Own Video

The latest live-action fashion vignette comes from Proenza Schouler, starring the label's new patent-leather PS1 bag.

Warning: the video will infallibly put you in a trance. It features model Danielle Zanaich traipsing through country glades, clad in a custom Proenza patent get-up vaguely reminiscent of the fisherman villain in the Scream films (but cute, nonetheless). The woman's search for her PS1 bag, shot with a vintage camera for sufficiently muddled footage, gives the shiny new model a dark side, in a way, advertising its debut with an air of trippy mystery.

The PS1 has forged itself as a fast classic, drawing a cult devotion for its gentlemanly, tailored structure and silhouette. And now fans are swooning over the brand's latest iteration in brilliant patent leather, well worth its own video tribute.

Having fallen in love with the medium of late, the fashion world—Alexander Wang, Hermes, and Roberto Cavalli, to name a few—continues to find its voice through video, as it explores the effectiveness and beauty of fashion in motion.
