Taxi drivers stand to make a killing this Fashion Week, especially as Milk Studios, a 50-something block distance from Lincoln Center, will be acting as an unoffical second post for the week's extensive lineup of shows.

Now in it's third season, the venue's "MAC & Milk" initiative will host over 40 runway shows and presentations, including those for Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, Peter Som, Richard Chai, Erin Fetherston, Costello Tagliapietra, The Row, as well as Tara Subkoff's comeback effort for her Imitation label, and several designers from Thread's 10 to watch list: Altuzarra, Kim Ovitz, and Suno.

And for any fashion editors or buyers who might miss a show or two due to traffic—not to mention style enthusiasts in general—WWD reports that MAC & Milk is teaming up with AOL this year to live-stream the shows on AOL's fashion-focused StyleList site, in addition to MAC & Milk's own site, as well as those for the individual designers. Such instant visual accessibility is a huge move towards the democratization of fashion and how designers are looking for ways to evolve the typical runway show formula.

Other new initiatives include outreach to the venue's Meatpacking District neighborhood, which should promise some pretty bang-up after-parties in the area as well as transportation services provided by Audi—for VIPs. The rest of us will indeed be taking taxis.
