Amid the myriad scandals and rumors that surrounded Paris Fashion Week, one bit of speculation involving creative director Hannah MacGibbon possibly leaving Chloe. Though not quite so scandalous as some of the other happenings around Paris Fashion Week (see John Galliano and Christophe Decarnin), the rumor still held significant implications.
According to WWD, however, market insiders are now saying that MacGibbon has extended her contract for one more season. Chloé CEO Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye confirmed as much: "Hannah is still with us, and that's all I can say."
MacGibbon signed on as creative director in spring 2009, after having worked closely with the Chloé's seminal designer Phoebe Philo between 2001-2006. Between Philo and MacGibbon, designer Yvan Mispelaere lasted just one season, followed by Paulo Melim Andersson for three.
