- Despite breakup rumors, Jacobs and Martone were confident enough to talk about getting tattoos together last night in Soho. According to Scott Campbell (the tattoo artist being honored that evening), Jacobs and Martone "were talking about coming in and getting something together." [Style File]

- Oscar de la Renta, who -- it should be said -- has no couture presence, unlike other American designers like TKTK -- told the WSJ recently that he thinks couture is "completely irrelevent." Says de la Renta: "Couture isn’t necessary, even to promote the brand. Customers are smart. They know that a $10,000 wedding dress will look as beautiful as a $1 million wedding dress." [WSJ]
