Pizza Invasion Continues in the Village

The pizza invasion continues apace in New York City. Just two months after the opening of Keste a few blocks away—and Tonda, Ignazio's, Emporio, and Anselmos elsewhere—we learn of two new pie spots opening in the Village. First up: Village Trattoria Pizzeria & Restaurant, opening soon in the failed conveyor belt sushi spot Sakae Sushi. And over on Bleecker near 7th Ave. an outpost of the California pizza chain Z's Pizza is getting set to debut in the old Burritoville space. They apparently specialize in "healthy" pizza.
