Waiter, There's a Fly, Maggots, and Mammalian Excreta in My Soup

We haven’t yet smiled on cow urine, but it’s no secret that all manner of yuckiness can be in your food (bugs in milk, for instance). Just for good measure, the Times runs down the list of the FDA’s allowable contaminants, including rodent hair and pellets, mold, insects and their eggs, mammalian excreta, maggots, mites, flies, sand and grit, parasites, mildew, sticks, stones, burlap bagging, cigarette butts, etc. [NYT]
