Dovetail Does Lunch

On the heels of its new brunch, Dovetail begins lunch service today. It’ll now be open Wednesday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and will do Saturday brunch as well. The lunch menus follow.

Lunch Tasting – $52
Brussels sprouts leaves
Pears, Serrano ham, Manchego cheese
Winter truffles (potato gnocchi, fines herbes)
Confit halibut (butternut squash, saffron, chanterelle mushrooms)
Pistachio-crusted duck (creamed leeks, grilled figs)
German chocolate cake (condensed milk ice cream, pecans)

Prix Fixe Lunch – $28
First Course, choice of:
Cranberry bean velouté
Beet salad (Greek Feta, grapes, mâche)
Rabbit terrine (mornay custard, preserved lemon kumquat, blood orange, radish)

Second Course, choice of:
Chilled house-cured salmon (apples, bitter lettuce, horseradish)
Gnocchi (forest mushrooms, cauliflower, pine nuts)
Chicken (fines herb dumplings, Brussels sprouts)
Duck Lasagna (picholine olives, golden raisins, Parmesan)
Cod (persillade crust, whole-grain mustard)
Halibut (supp $6) (butternut squash, chanterelles)
Short Rib (cream of wheat, cashews, carrots)
Skinny Lobster Omelet (supp $8) (fennel, cypriot potatoes)

Desserts – $8
Carrot cake (golden raisin & fennel purée)
Fig crumble (brown-butter ice cream)
