Perhaps inspired by the audacity of Boston’s Gaslight, Osteria Ottimo in Chicago has borrowed its brand identity from Mario Batali’s Otto. MenuPages Chicago noticed the similarities between the two restaurants’ looks, which must be a complete surprise to Osteria Ottimo. After all, the restaurant says, “Ottimo is a rustic Italian restaurant that feels as though it’s been there for a hundred years.”
