Get in touch with your inner-art lover this weekend.  Matt Maggiacomo shows you how and where to do it.

*Start out on the Upper East Side at theMet museum for the exhibit “The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion.”  The exhibition takes a close look at how models influence cultural changes through photography.  Look for the icons of the fashion industry – Chanel, Dior to Turlington and Crawford.

*Head down to MOMA for a new exhibit examining the design – and artistry – of household appliances and furniture from the 40s and 50s.  Entitled “What Was Good Design,” the exhibit will have you looking at a cheese grater in a whole new light.

*It’s time for some wallet-friendly art for you home, and you can get it at the Affordable Art Fair in Midtown.  You can do your shopping for contemporary pieces priced from $100 to $1000 at AAF’s new space – 7W New York on 34th Street.  The fair runs May 7 through May 10.

*Feeling a little flush?  Head to the Gagosian Gallery on 21st Street in Chelsea for the first-ever Picasso exhibition in the U.S. that focuses on the late paintings of the artist.  “Picaso: Mosqueteros” is only on display for another month.
