Superstar electro D.J. Deadmau5 played Provocateur last night, certifying the venue's status as a megaclub throwback and bulking up its reputation as a Fashion Week party destination.
The blockbuster booking also reinforced the hangout's exclusivity. Provocateur is a regular on the list of New York's most impenetrable nightspots despite its relatively sprawling space. An appearance by Deadmau5 and his oversized rodent mask only made getting in tougher. @AmricnHouseMfia tweeted "The door @Provocateur legit scares me. I wish I could go see @Deadmau5!" Another would-be patron relayed bouncer issues, writing the staff "won't let me in The door @Provocateur NYC they said I wasn't good-looking."
Those lucky enough to witness the set said Deadmau5 killed it.
