Everybody has a price including, apparently, the owners of land at Willets Point where the city want to put up its hyper controversial $3 billion residential-retail-hotel-convention facility. Soooo, how is the city getting the land? The old fashioned way: paying through the nose for it. Example: It paid $3.5 million for a half-acre of land at nearly 10 times the assessed value.
