The 2009 Season of Celebrate Brooklyn! starts tonight. Celebrate Brooklyn! is one of New York City's longest running, free, outdoor performing arts festivals (with a couple of benefit shows thrown into the mix). Some of the shows this season include TV on the Radio, Big Daddy Kane, and even a Purple Rain screening and sing-a-long. David Byrne is the first show tonight. You can find the complete schedule here. All shows are at the Prospect Park Bandshell, which is located in Prospect Park at Prospect Park West and 9th Street.
