Off-Broadway Toy Drive Offers Free Tickets in Exchange for Toys

'Tis the season to give back, and this year, off-Broadway is doing that.

From now through Dec. 22, theater-goers who donate a new toy valued at $10 or more, with proof of purchase, will receive a free, same-day ticket to one of 10 of off-Broadway shows.

Those shows include:

  • “Perfect Crime” (The Theater Center, 210 West 50th St., 4th Floor)
  • “The Fantasticks” (The Theater Center, 210 West 50th St., 3rd Floor)
  • “Boogie Stomp” (Elektra Theatre - 300 West 43rd Street, 2nd Floor)
  • “39 Steps” (Union Square Theatre, 100 East 17th Street)
  • “Newsical” (Kirk Theatre at Theater Row, 410 West 42nd Street)
  • “Avenue Q” (New World Stages, 340 West 50th St.)
  • “Gazillion Bubble Show” (New World Stages, 340 West 50th St.)
  • “Mad Libs” (New World Stages, 340 West 50th St.)
  • “Real Men” (New World Stages, 340 West 50th St.)
  • “Shear Madness” (New World Stages, 340 West 50th St.)

Toys will be donated to Safe Horizon, an organization that each year provides support for more than 250,000 New York City victims of domestic violence, child physical/sexual abuse and violent crimes committed against family members and within communities.

The initiative has been launched by the Off-Broadway League. Only one free ticket will be given per group (single individual, family or organization).
