We're Loving: Lizzie Fortunado Jewelry

We've been fans of Lizzie Fortunado (a jewelry line run by twin sisters Elizabeth and Kathryn Fortunado) for some time -- from the fabric and metal-wrapped necklaces to the arts-and-crafts ribbon pieces -- but the brand's latest collection of jewelry inspired by the American West truly tops them all.

The "Long May You Run" collection features bandana-inspired necklaces, leather-covered (biker inspired?) beads, and chunky chockers that seem like a hodgepodge of found beads, chains, and other roadside debris.

What we love most is the inventive mix of materials that gives each piece such a one-of-a-kind feel. The "Dusty Love" necklace, for example, includes heavy chains, chunky beads, and Native American-inspired woven strings -- seemingly incorporating all the elements one might find on a road trip. On the other hand, pieces like the "Midnight Rambler" (a bib necklace with black ribbon) and the "Lightning Field" seem more to capture the aesthetics of the place, with glinting gold mixed in with sunset-in-the-desert colors. Overall, each piece would make a sun-scorched addition to all the wintry ensembles we're bound to start crafting in the coming months.
