We had a feeling this would happen. Shortly after unveiling his first lineup of men's shoes, Yigal Azrouel has announced a forthcoming collection of women's kicks to debut during fashion week.
A sneak peek of the collection offers up a chunky peep-toe drawstring ankle bootie with a wedge heel, as well as a cone-heeled, two-tone sandal. In addition, there are flat sandals and more platform pumps and wedges to be seen. The sharp styles should bode well for the rest of the designer's Spring 2011 collection, as Azrouel told Style File, "I really took the same approach as I do for clothing design—exploring materials, finishings, and actually draping the shoe."
Now we're even more thrilled to watch Azrouel's models parade down the runway next month.
