Skinny Buddha Holistic Center Opens in Westchester

Free organic mocktails and musical performances will kick off the opening of the first holistic fitness center Skinny Buddha in Westchester County on Oct. 15.

The founders -- classically trained chef Elyce Jacobson and Golden Gloves boxer Shaka "The K.I.N.G" Davidson -- plan to provide an integrated and results-oriented fitness program.

"We believe strongly that a healthy mind and a healthy body will transform people's lives, and we are committed to helping our clients reach their greatest potential," Jacobson said.

Skinny Buddha will offer personalized fitness, prepared organic meals and nutrition programs.

Individual weight loss, detoxification, pre-natal, yoga, and body massage packages will also be available.

The grand opening will take place between 6 and 9 p.m. at 128 Radio Circle in Mount Kisco.

Professional violinist Daisy Jopling and DJ Miss Deezy are scheduled to perform at the event.
