US players celebrate a point during the women's qualifying volleyball match between the USA and China on Aug. 14, 2016, during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The United States will head to the quarterfinals of the women's volleyball tournament undefeated after beating China on Sunday in a preliminary round match.

China took the first set 25-22, but the United States stormed back to take the next 3 sets 25-17, 25-19, 25-19.

The Americans had already locked up a trip to the quarterfinals before the win over China; the win means they leave the preliminary round 5-0 and with a top seed.

Earlier in the day, Italy beat Puerto Rico, 3-2, while the Netherlands topped Serbia, 3-2, in five sets.
