Long Island Man Arrested in Fatal Stabbing of Stepfather

The victim's stepson, Matthew Hubrins, was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder

 A 28-year-old Long Island man has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of his stepfather.

Suffolk County police say Noel Mohammed was found stabbed in the chest in his home in Huntington early Saturday. He was pronounced dead at Huntington Hospital.
 
The victim's stepson, Matthew Hubrins, was arrested on a charge of second-degree murder. He is awaiting arraignment Sunday.
 
Newsday reports that the 44-year-old Mohammed worked as a mail carrier since 1994. Neighbors said Mohammed was a friendly and familiar sight in the neighborhood.
