Six Public Schools to Test Flu Vaccine Distribution

Six New York City schools have been chosen as a pilot program for distributing the flu vaccine this year – part of a strategy for combating swine flu, health officials said.

The New York City Department of Health and Human Hygiene said that in preparation for this fall’s school based H1N1 vaccination effort, six schools will be part of a week-long vaccination program.
 
Some 700 students will get the flu shot in the following schools:

P.S. 046 in the Bronx, P.S. 35 on Staten Island, P.S. 040 in Brooklyn, P.S. 136 in Queens and The Children’s Workshop in Manhattan.
