Brooklyn School Bus Goes Up in Flames

A school bus went up in flames in Brooklyn Friday afternoon as it went to pick up students from a Borough Park school. No one was hurt.

A school bus went up in flames on its way to pick up children in Brooklyn Friday.
The driver told NBC New York at the scene she was on her way to P.S. 1 in Borough Park when the engine began smoking.
She pulled over and grabbed her fire extinguisher, but the bus became engulfed in flames within minutes, she said.
The driver was the only one on board and was not hurt.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
