The wife of jailed Ponzi king Bernard Madoff was spotted slummin' it on a Midtown subway, according to a report.

Ruth Madoff, whose husband learns his fate Monday, sported some Aviator sunglasses, a brown blazer over a white top, faded blue jeans and flats while sitting alone on the F train Wednesday, according to The New York Post.

Ruthie asked the Post photographer who snapped her picture, "Are you having fun embarrassing me -- and ruining my life?" Ruining her life? That's almost as ridiculous as Madoff's lawyer telling a judge this week that a 12-year sentence should suffice for his client.

The train was at the Rockefeller Plaza stop, and Mrs. Madoff was sitting underneath an ad for a 99-cent cellphone bargain, which the Post joked might come in handy for her now that her once-unlimited well has run dry.

Bernard Madoff could get 150 years in prison after he admitted to a $65 billion Ponzi scheme that ruined thousands of lives.
