A New Jersey Devils fan was killed in an accident after leaving a game Tuesday night, authorities said.

Thomas Argenti, 18, from Pearl River, N.Y., was struck by a vehicle in the area of East Kinney and McCarter Highway at about 10:30 p.m., the prosecutor's office said. He was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

The driver, 28, stopped when he struck Argenti and stayed on the scene, prosecutors said. No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.

The Devils lost 4-2 to the Carolina Hurricanes at the Prudential Center in Newark.
