An elderly woman who had been missing overnight was found alive but seriously injured after her crashed car was discovered at a northern New Jersey business, authorities said Sunday.
Mary Gwenn, 81, of Wayne township, was reported missing Friday night. police told NJ.com. Her relatives told police that she suffered from medical issues.
Gwenn's car was found Saturday by workers at a concrete business. The vehicle was angled over a retaining wall, its front end in the ground and its rear wheels still on the four-foot wall.
Gwenn was found in the vehicle. She was suffering from exposure to the cold and was taken to a hospital, but further details on her condition were not disclosed.
Investigators said it was unclear how much time passed between the crash and the vehicle's discovery.
