    Police are asking for help locating a man suspected of stabbing and killing a man inside a Queens apartment building vestibule in the middle of the afternoon one day last week.

    Police are asking for help locating a man suspected of stabbing and killing a man inside a Queens apartment building vestibule in the middle of the afternoon one day last week. 

    Officers were called to 83-45 Broadway in Elmhurst at about 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, and found a 50-year-old man lying on the ground in the middle of the vestibule with stab wounds to the chest. 

    EMS workers transported the victim, identified as Mukesh Patel of Elmhurst, to Elmhurst General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

    Police are searching for the suspect, who was captured on surveillance video running from the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
