Suspect in Brooklyn Rape of 10-Year-Old Arrested in Minnesota

The NYPD's fugitive apprehension team traced a 24-year-old man who allegedly raped his girlfriend’s 10-year-old sister to Minnesota and arrested him, authorities said.

Edwin Caizaguano allegedly raped the child at a house on Moffat Street in Bushwick on Oct. 19, police said.

The traumatized girl needed surgery after the attack, but was able to recover, authorities said.

Caizagauano, who also goes by the name Patricio, was arrested in Saint Paul, Minnesota, after an investigation by the NYPD's fugitive apprehension team.

He was charged with rape, assault, predatory sexual assault against a child, sexual abuse, sexual misconduct and acting in a manner injurious to a child.

It wasn't immediately known if he had obtained an attorney who could comment on the allegations, nor was it known when he would be extradited to the city to face charges.
