Man Punched Ex in the Face While 2-Month-Old Was Strapped to Her Chest on Subway: NYPD

A man who got into a fight with his ex-girlfriend on the subway punched her in the face while her two-month-old child was strapped to her chest, police said.

The two were on a Manhattan-bound E train between the Sutphin Boulevard – Archer Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue subway stations around 7:45 p.m. Monday when the two got into a fight, the NYPD said.

As the woman tried to walk away, her ex-boyfriend, 22-year-old Marqual Ward, punched her in the face as her child was strapped to a harness on her chest, according to police.

The victim sustained substantial pain and bruising.

Police are looking for Ward, who they say has tattoos of a tear drop and a red star on his face. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
