Authorities in Hoboken say they recovered a man's body from the Hudson River Monday evening.

A passerby noticed the body at about 5 p.m. and contacted police.

Hoboken police say the medical examiner in Newark is expected to conduct an autopsy on the body Tuesday.

The discovery comes several weeks after a Hoboken man disappeared after he went running near the Hudson River.
