After a 41-year-old man admitted in court that he cooked up highly addictive methamphetamine in a soda bottle, he gave the Oneida County Judge the recipe he got off the Internet.

Wallace Edick pleaded guilty Monday to unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 12 to serve the remainder of a one-year sentence in state prison.

Edick was arrested last August after he suffered a meth overdose at his Sylvan Beach home.

Edick said in court that he made meth for his own use with the "one pot'' or "shake and bake'' method, which poses an explosive danger if the bottle isn't handled carefully enough.
